The Melody cabin concept
A fresh design based on customer wishes
Comfort and relaxation drawn from nature.
From the moment passengers step on board, the new Melody cabin concept for the ACJ320neo Family provides a unique experience by combining harmonious curves inspired by nature, with an emphasis on a quiet environment for high-quality sound.
Merging Airbus’ long-standing experience with a forward-looking approach, this cabin concept for ACJ cabins is inspired by the needs of its private jet customers. These individuals expect to take their lifestyles to the sky – including with smart phones and tablets, or by enjoying audio-visual entertainment in a home-cinema-like environment.
The cabin’s natural flow – inspired by hilly horizons, rolling rivers and other curves of nature – gives passengers unrivalled freedom of movement on-board, along with greater space and comfort.
The cabin has many features that provide a better travel experience – starting with a more stylish entrance and welcoming curves.
For greater freedom of movement, different cabin zones are separated by extra-large openings – which can still be closed off for privacy. Special design touches in the cabin provide a truly unique experience, including cabin walls dotted with an attractive honeycomb pattern that echoes the carbon fibre materials used in the corporate jet’s construction, as well as windows that can be lightened or darkened via fingertip control and plant-based decorative panels.
Located in the jet’s forward section is a homely kitchen, as well as lounge area that provides a 65-inch curved television screen – the largest available in an Airbus corporate jet. The conference and dining area – located beyond the lounge in the middle of the cabin – comfortably seats up to six passengers with enough room for productive work and socialising.
Space for relaxation
For relaxation during flight, the Melody cabin’s comfortable home-cinema in the jet’s aft-ward section features a retractable large-screen television. Subtly designed loudspeakers in the ceiling have smooth curves for the best acoustics – delivering great sound to passengers.
Also in the corporate jet’s aft area, Melody makes full use of an extra-wide cabin with a private master bathroom comprising a separate lavatory, shower and washbasin. Beyond the bathroom, is a spacious bedroom suite that includes a large double-bed, along with a separate sofa facing it.
The cabin’s separation into zones allows for different activities to take place simultaneously throughout the corporate jet – and for a large number of passengers to be accommodated – in relaxed comfort and privacy.
